About the work

  • Monochromatic works of paper covered in concrete dust. This artwork is based on satellite Geo-information, OpenStreetMap data and opensource governmental housing data, this base of realism is then hand tailored for aesthetics through careful selection of scale, road width and the overall cut. Our in-house integrated cutting technology ensures each of the five layers is precisely cut, followed by thorough hand cleaning and inspection on an illuminated glass plate for flawless quality. Layers are manually assembled with precision, compressed to bond, then varnished and framed in an Nielsen frame from Germany. symbolizing a perfect blend of technology and craftsmanship in each unique piece.

  • This work is made in our Monochromatic Grey style
This Monochromatic style is made of paper covered in grey cement particles. The high light diffusion on the course surface creates a very matt surface. This is complemented by small reflective particles which send tiny shimmers of directed light towards you. The urban and industrial character fits very well in a more modern interior. The play between shadow and light is different in every angle the work gets illuminated.

  • Please follow the following guidelines to keep your art in perfect condition:

    1. Do not place your artwork in direct sunlight to prevent discoloration by the suns UV rays. A nice location with indirect light or a daylight spot light is the best choice.

    2. Keep your work between 30 and 75% relative humidity. Particularly higher values over longer periods of time can harm the paper structure beyond repair. Follow the following practical guidelines:

    a. In practice do not place it directly above or underneath heat sources (radiators, chimneys or air-co) which can lead to very dry air.
    b. Keep your art away from humid areas like the bathroom or cellars.
    c. In case you live in a very humid place consider getting a de-humidifier. Besides being great for preserving your art, your own health will benefit considerably.
